oh my, how time flies.......

I can not truly believe it has been over 7 months since I was last on here. I have a draft from when we were in Utah in August titled Yellowstone. I tried to down load pictures but my computer was acting up that day. Never did get back to it, I guess. I tried again this evening. Not working, must be my computer!! Certainly can not be me!! :)

So, where does one start when getting back into this again?

I guess it will be with Dad/grandpa coming to visit us right before Christmas. On his first full day here we took him to our high school state football championship game. It was in Hershey, right next to Hershey World. We made a pit stop there first so Gramps could load up on his sugars. Our team lost the game but it was still a lot of fun for us, not sure what dad thought! We were able to drag him to the mall for several shopping outings before Christmas. He was a good sport. Taylor even got him to go into Justice with her and conned him into buying her a shirt that was on sale and used her 40% off coupon, too!

Christmas was a lot of fun. Taylor got her Netbook that she was really wanting but didnt think she would get, so her joy was caught on film- Duane's no less. Cameron got a go-cart which we have discovered is not the best idea to buy a summer toy in winter time. He has been bugging us to go out everyday but it has been so cold. Good thing Dad is here, we have had few engine problems. Every time I rode on it something would break, I decided that I will stay off of it. So, far, has been working fine!! Go figure! I was supposed to film the kids reaction but forgot to charge the battery on video camera, oops!! The kids got several other fun gifts that they were wanting. Since we were the only family in the neighborhood without a Wii, we broke down and bought one. We have been having a great time with it. Dad has enjoyed it so much that he bought one and had it shipped home. Lucky Kevin gets to set it up and have it ready for Dad when he gets home! He has been bowling everyday, I think he is currently a "Pro" status.

Dad has also been catching up on all his westerns that he so loves to watch. Duane jokes that we have a high definition big screen for Dad to watch his old black and whites. :) Dad has been to Roots Market every Tuesday to buy his Amish swiss cheese that he loves. He loves it so much that he sent Dawn 10 lbs to keep till he gets home. I even got him to go into Camerons class at school and help on craft day. He mainly sat in back and observed but at least he was social. Dad's highlight is beginning this next week, Pennsylvania Farm show. It is in Harrisburg, about 40 minutes away. We are taking the kids out of school next Tuesday for the day. I am sure we will go up this weekend, too! Have to tell about it later. This year, dad has not been able to see Taylor compete in gymnastics because she hasnt had any meets so her coaches have arranged for a "mini meet" tomorrow so that dad can see her her Level 7 skills. They have a judge coming in and are treating it like a real meet without awards. Taylor is excited for him to be able to watch her. Cameron hasnt had any sports but will have a basketball game on Saturday. This is the first year that grandpa will miss seeing the kids in their various sports.

We couldnt let dad get by without making his lasagna for us, so we had a party on Jan.1 to watch Penn State!! It was so good. We had another family over, two families ended up sick that morning so they were unable to come. We had plenty of left overs that we finally finished yesterday!

Guess that catches you up with grandpas activities so far here in PA! I am sure I will think of other things and will let you know about them next time!
